American actor/director/playwright Ted Lange is one of the most recognized and beloved personalities in show business. He is best known for his role as the bartender, Isaac Washington, in the TV series The Love Boat which earned him global recognition. But Mr. Lange is much more than that smiling drink-server you remember from 1970’s TV. He has spent the decades since Love Boat as a world-renowned playwright and director, creating over two dozen theatrical works highlighting the lives of forgotten black figures in American history. He is a prolific actor of stage and screen, director, author, and educator. Together, these talents have created a revered career and worldwide recognition. Ted has written 25 plays and has earned several awards, most of them for directing.
